I am able to physically change the code of the new cluster to match IMMO-ID and VIN appearing in the ECU, but that is not enough to allow me to match keys to the car (FYI, I could go through the key matching process with new tranponder chips, and everything seemed normal, but as soon as I reinserted the keys, the IMMO light blinked again).īasically, I think I need to read the original code off of the ECU, or I read somewhere that the code is linked to and can be read from the cutout in the keys. I was able to get the PIN out of the new cluster, but I need to somehow obtain the original PIN in order to adapt the new cluster via VCDS instruments (17) adaptation (050) to set it up with the original PIN. My original instrument cluster is unreadable and therefore, I cannot get the original SKC or PIN belonging to the car in order to complete my swap with a new (used) cluster.
